According to studies and wala akong experience na ganto dahil ayokong subukan mamaya totoo lol. Soya raises men's estrogen levels, and you wouldn't want that to happen you would always want to have high tests for muscle building and masculinity. A little won't hurt pero using soy as your major source of protein is not advisable.

Just to re-evaluate my goals.

    ^imho

I think you should be clear with your goal. Kung may numbers ka na gusto ma attain talaga then train and eat that is oriented for that goal.

Ok sir, thanks. Just crossed my mind. Tama, I should stick with my short term goal of strength training.

So be patient lang just be consistent magkaka gains ka din naman in both departments

thanks sa motivation. cheers nasa tao lang talaga to lift consistently and eat right.

Minimum 1RM that is pre-requisite to a BB program? No such thing. Ang purpose lang mainly why we encourage newbies to have a strength focused program are these:

    1. learn the compound lifts and its importance.
    2. establish what we call "base strength" and make your CNS adapt in moving heavy ass weight.

So as monch said it's up to you if you think you have progressed well enough sa strangth training and ready to shift to a more BB oriented kind of programming. In fact you may also opt to continue building strength while incorporating BB routines (what we usually call hybrid programs) in your program.
  • Para sakin sir ndgllb, you'd benefit far greater in health at physique if you train for strength (heavy). Saka ewan ko ang saya lumakas tapos yung physique e daan mo nalang sa tamang diet. this is all subjective of course. Try mo mag BB routines if you want pero go heavy still on compounds IMO

Check out mo si George Leeman sa youtube. Powerlifter siya na 22 years old at asa around 340-360lbs.
Nag cut siya one time, I forget why pero mukha siyang sobrang dense na pang BB comp na when he got down to 290.

Ito pinapakingan ko before training. Check it out pics halfway.

thanks sir DSmallDivide. Enlightening yung 2 reasons, akala ko ang reason lang ay para mabigat na bubuhatin pag nag-BB na. hybrid sound good kapag minimal na ang gains sa strength. i'll take it one at a time. i'll ask for guide when i get there. thanks.

Sir (chef?)

    1. pyramid training
    2. drop set

    salamat po.
  • YatezYatez Posts: 2,745
    not sure if.
  • HAHA! Natawa ako sa banat ni Yatez.
Pyramiding : Increase the weight, decrease the rep after each set.
Drop set: decrease the weight , increase the rep after each set.

    Ito naman tanong ko:

Kung kunyari na stuck ako sa bahay for a while, puede bang ma replace ang bench pressing ng DIPS? for a good compound upper body exercise?
  • Emman1986Emman1986 Posts: 1,819
^^ salamat sir. yung pyramid nga ang nagagawa. salamat ulit

bp and dips have different ROM.
  • badass_vinchbadass_vinch Posts: 4,471
@masala: yes, kung ang purpose mo is to develop your pushing power. Ang maganda pa is that you have the option to use different tempos like slow&controlled or fast&explosive. If chest development naman hand placings and body angles adjust mo:)

If hindi mo pa naman kaya ibench bw mo, heres your alternatives:
    Push up=70% of your bw
    Dips= bw
  • daltonkamotedaltonkamote Posts: 3,629
so same pala ang dips and bp?
