The Great White Pizza Challenge
The 4-pound Great White Pizza Challenger Meal will be a full serving of Sbarro’s NY Style White Pizza. This will be the official TLC Final Chowdown Challenger Meal to be created by Italian food restaurant Sbarro.
The Great White Pizza Challenger Meal and TLC’s Final Chowdown will only take place at the following Sbarro branches:
SM Mall of Asia
SM Mega Mall
Festival Mall
Market! Market!
Eastwood-Citibank
The Great White Pizza Challenger Meal will be made available in the Sbarro menu from January 7, 2012 until April 7, 2012.
Customers 18 years old and above will be invited to try the Challenger Meal and will encourage them to do so in hopes of becoming part of the Sbarro’s Hall of Fame, and if qualified, as a semi-finalist in TLC Final Chowdown.
If the customer agrees to take on the challenge and order The Great White Pizza Challenger Meal, he/she will have to sign a liability waiver before moving on to the challenge.
The challenger will have to finish the meal in the fastest possible time that he/she could under the allotted time of 15 minutes.
If the customer is able to finish the meal under the allotted time, he/she will not have to pay for his/her meal and his/her name will be placed on the Hall of Fame. He/she will also receive a premium gift item from Sbarro.
If the customer is not able to finish the meal, he/she will have to pay Php 551.00 for the meal and will receive a minor premium gift from Sbarro for joining.
After the promo ends on April 7, 2012, the Top 3 Timings recorded in the Sbarro Hall of Fame will instantly be qualified to be contestants in TLC’s Great Chowdown Grand Finals.
The Top 3 Hall of Famers in each participating Sbarro branch will be informed of their qualification to be a part of TLC Final Chowdown via phone call or email.
They will be asked to confirm their attendance for the Final Chowdown via phone call or email at least 3 days before the actual day of the event.
TLC’s Final Chowdown will be held on April 22, 2012 where the confirmed contestants will take on the final TLC Final Chowdown Challenge.
Final venue for TLC Final Chowdown will be at SM Mall of Asia's Music Hall.
TLC Final Chowdown Challengers will be judged and timed by a carefully chosen panel of judges during the event to ensure fairness throughout the competition.
Medics will be on-site in case of emergencies.
FINAL CHOWDOWN MECHANICS
TLC Final Chowdown will be held on April 22, 2012. Final venue will be announced once confirmation of its finality has been received.
There will be 15 finalists from Sbarro, 12 finalists from Gerry’s Grill, with a total of 27 finalists who will take part in TLC Final Chowdown Challenger Meal.
The Final Chowdown Challenger Meal will consist of the 2 challenger meals (Sbarro Great White Pizza Challenge and Gerry’s Platter Meal Challenge ) from the two participating restaurants. Half of each food item will be served in one plate for each of the finalists to eat and finish under the allotted time.
In the case of Gerry’s Platter Meal Challenge, half of the serving of the Crispy Pata will be served as part of the Final Challenger Meal during TLC Final Chowdown.
These finalists will have to complete a liability waiver before moving on to the challenge.
All the finalists will compete against each other as they try to finish the Final Chowdown Challenger Meal under the allotted time of 1 hour or less.
The fastest contestant to finish the entire Final Chowdown Challenger Meal will be proclaimed TLC Final Chowdown
