whey protein vs soya milk

kakasimula ko pala mag-gym yung tanong ko eh, ano po ang mas maganda at walang side effects? WHEY PROTEIN or SOYA MILK? nag-search ako about sa soya milk ang sabi raw nakaka-decrease raw nang testosterone totoo ba yun?

    sabi daw? I'm not sure... but what i'm sure eh ang soya ay mabibigay sayo ng magandang bilang ng protena. :blush:
  • I would choose whey dahil mas mataas sya sa protein atsaka low calories sya.

    Since may soya maker ako... pag sinisipag eh instead of water, I used soya milk sa whey protein.

    Soya milk nakaka decrease ng testosterone? Hmmmm... Favorite ko pa naman ang soya milk lagi akong umiinom. Makapal ang balabas ko, may chest hair ako at mabalbon ang legs at arms ko. At nagkaanak ako... So i guess it's a hoax... Hehehehe...
  • Soya milk has estrogenic compounds that mimic estrogen in the body. I'd post some credible sources, but it's late and I just came from an intense workout lol. Anyway, there have been reports of it causing gyno in some males, tho these are extreme cases and they ingest excessive amounts of soy products. Anyway, I dont see the problem in using it once in a while, it is cheaper, but it is also less bioavailable (google it) and with the threat of MAYBE decreasing testosterone, I'd limit my intake to a hundred grams per week.

  • I read the estrogenic effect about soy and its not a complete protein, better stick to whey for faster absorbtion and complete amino profile

    may tinatawag na soy (soya) therapy for women with menopause symptoms at a young age...soya helps their bodies create more estrogen

    There are vegan bodybuilders that build muscle from protein in soy and other beans.
