Damn! youre good at this sir @riddler galing mo mag landscape!!!! dati nag phophotography ako adver graduate kasi ako so medyo impressionists ung art ko. (maishare lang). pero ang galing mo props!

Salamat @Ghee . I'm on a hiatus though since 2011 pa. Medyo nagsawa rin eh at medyo lumalaki ang gastos especially with the endless stream of photography gear upgrades. Haha!

@yopyopm, I'm currently based here in Saudi Arabia.

@riddler agree ako boss! hahaha magastos. fashion saka wedding naman ako madalas. nagtatry ng landscape kapag nagtatravel. pero tumigil muna, halos 6months na rin. wala kasi ako work ngayon.

Owning a stock of a company means you are part owner (but only a small portion) of that company.

You earn money when the stock value increases. For example, you bought today 100 shares of ALI (Ayala Land, Inc.) at Php 35 per share. The total value of you shares is Php 35 x 100 = Php 3,500. Then, let's say, ALI share value increased to Php 40 per share after 6 months. Your investment is now worth Php 40 x 100 = Php 4,000. That is a 14.28 % increase. Of course, that gain is only in paper. You would only receive the Php 500 cash if you will sell your shares.

Now, if the share value can increase, then it can also decrease. Using the same example above, if the ALI share value decreased to Php 30 per share, your investment is now only worth Php 30 x 100 = Php 3,000. Of course, that loss is only in paper. You would only lose that Php 500 if you will panic and sell your shares

Stock values vary from day to day. No one really knows when it will increase or decrease. If you are an investor, it is important to choose wisely in picking what company you want

In my case, I have already gained ~14% from my investments as of January 2015. I started last March 2014. I have already beaten the inflation rate which is ~4%

You might ask, why not just put all your money in time-deposit account in a bank ? Well, the bank would only give you an interest of less than 1% per year. The inflation rate is ~4%. Every year, your money loses ~3%.

Of course, never put all your money in stocks. Have some reserved money in the bank which you can use for emergencies. Example, you placed all your money in stocks. You bought 10,000 shares of ALI at Php 35. Your investment has a value of Php 350,000. Now, something bad happens and the stock value plummets to Php 20 per share. Your investments now has a value of Php 200,000. You won't lose money unless you sell. Why would you sell ? Example, your wife is pregnant and about to deliver. You don't have extra money since you put all your money in stocks. Now, you are forced to sell some of your stocks at Php 20 per share

Yung broker mo ang magbebenta or bibili para sa'yo. Kung online broker ang gamit mo, lahat ng transactions ay online or thru internet

Pag tumaas, yes, pwede mo ibenta. Pag bumagsak, bili ka. BUY LOW, SELL HIGH. Parang sa negosyo lang

Pero ang stock investing ay long-term, 10 or more years. Stock trading yung sinasabi mo. Nothing wrong with stock trading kung alam mo ang ginagawa mo, pag hindi, masusunog lang ang pera mo. Di ako stock trader so di kita mabibigyan ng in-depth info tungkol dun. Stock investor ako
