Hi all! Has anyone tried this or is anyone currently doing Keto?

  • Maganda yung mga recipes sa Ketogenic Diet but I mostly use them during rest days kung saan ang carb intake ko ay from 50g or less.

    High carbs on work-out days.

    Though regarding Ketogenic Diet: Satingin ko okay naman sya. At some point during the 1st two years of my weight loss journey, umiwas ako sa tinapay, rice, that kind of shit and didn't even realize na I was on Keto instinctively (When I tried to calculate my past meals, my carbs intake ranged from 20g-60g).

    Though ang pagbabawas ng pag-intake ng one of the three macronutrient is one way to lose some weight I guess.

    Di ba dapat lagi kang nasa ketosis, di yung rest day lang? Dahil di agaran na mapupunta sa ketosis katawan?

    ^oo at kailangan mo pa i deplete ang glycogen stores ng liver mo through low intensity cardio and lifting to enter ketosis para mas mabilis, pero pwede din by not consuming carbs and having a real high fat intake lang pero mas matagal nga lang bago mo maabot ang induction phase kung bago ka pa lang at hindi sanay ang katawan mo sa state of ketosis.

    Kaya nga duda ako na pedeng on/off yung ketosis yung katawan sa rest at WO day niya. Meron na kayang ibang nakasubok na on/off?
    Kahit ata si boss last laging nasa ketosis dati.

    malabo yon lalo na kung mag hihigh carbs ka pa sa training days na may halong fructose pa, mga 2 days na todong piga siguro ng cardio kelangan while avoiding fructose during the high carb day given na adapted na katawan mo sa ketosis.

    In my case, hindi naman po ako naka ketogenic diet, more on leangains approach po. I just found it useful for the most part kasi nag-aadjust ako ng diet para ma-maintain ang cut ko (lakas maka-busog pag low carb rest day). :]

    Bakit iba sabi mo dito? Baka kasi merong ma mislead.

  • Haha pasenya po, I just found out about yung sa different approaches sa Ketogenic diet habang binabasa yung pdf ni Lyle Mcdonald kaya I didn't really know until now.. Though that's how it usually goes with my diet. @_@

    I just found this interesting, but didn't really decide on going ketosis (it might be something to consider a try though :] ) but rather for satiety on my IF. :v

    indirectly keto ung ginawa ko sa unang weeks ng cut ko no carbs talaga lol. I'm thinking of going keto pag nag last phase nako to shed off the remaining flabs hehehe. will make sure on point nutrition ko.

    Ginawa ko to e pero pati muscle ko naburn e.
    Pinagtiisan ko pa nman 0 carbs ng 3 months.

    High fat on rest days on leangains does not mean you are on a Keto style.. not, you are just using the carb cycling method at totally hindi nawala ang carbs during rest days..

    My 2 cents since I am using IF LG for 1 year and counting.

  • Hays... Low carb is not keto, atkins diet lang yan w/c is 100grams carbs below, if your not in ketosis then its not keto, been there done that

    i see fat brah and minimal muscle so pag nag cut ka nga ng ganyang katawan malamang sa malamang wala ngang matira dahil wala naman maiiwan talaga

    ako mga boss pa opinyon lang.. i have been there befire kaya sa mga tropa ko na bagito unang sabak sa bakal pinapakain ko ng bulto bulto kahit anong pilit nila at lagi sila inaaway ng asawa/magulang sa paglamon ng brutal haha lagi ko na lang sinasabi na for the gainz...

    "Eat big for 3-6mos then train like a beast, then thank me later" yun lagi sinasabi ko haha..

    kaya bro june, nag keto ka pero wala ka naman ika cut! Pero okay lang din yan, atleast nalaman mo kugn bakit lagi sinasabi "kumain ka muna ng marami , kahit medyo mataba ka due to shit lifestyle at food choices"

    kasi sabi ni juneg naburn daw ung muscles nya ng keto, pero sa photos nya at physique when he started cutting it is clearly visible na wala kasing decent muscle mass na maiiwan so the result na kinalabasan is expected.

    Oo nga mga sir malaking pagkakamali yung pagdiet ko nagsayang lang oras ko, kaya nga ngayon bulk goal ko e.

    Alam mo pag bago ka pa lang, madali lang maglose ng fat, kahit wala kang proper diet magbuhat ka lang regularly sigurado babawas timbang mo. dami na gumawa nyan sa mga kanto gym lang nagbubuhat, wala naman sila sinusunod na kung anong science pero may result. Yung mga gusto naman lumaki ganun din, wala diet diet basta kain lang ng kain at buhat ng buhat, ayun lumalaki at lumalakas naman.

    kung talagang 0 carbs for 3 months si juneG(strictly speaking)
    tapos ganyan nangyari(kahit right pic to left pic progress pa)
    ibig sabihin hindi siya talagang pumasok sa ketosis


    1) malamang meron paring siyang sugar sa diet nya(kumain ng fruits, like mangos)
    or
    2) yung '0 carbs' niya, ay '0 rice' lang, which is the common misconception among filipinos. Baka kumakain parin siya ng vegetables na may carbs, ie carrots, potatos


    if you really want to get into ketosis, learn the nutritional facts of the foods you eat
    theres a lot of foods that you won't think have carbs/sugars

    keto foods:
    usually eggs, meat and green vegetables lang kakainin mo

    please understand that 'low carb' or 'no rice' does not get you into ketosis

    ^and please also understand that keto is not a magic diet and that ketosis is not a magical fat burning state/condition of the human body that will make you lose fat even if you are eating 0 carbs yes you will lose weight at first but that is not body fat but only water from your body because of your glycogen stores getting depleted, you will still maintain or gain weight in the state of ketosis if you are eating FATS and PROTEIN in a MAINTENANCE OR SURPLUS LEVEL and that's what most likely juneG was in.

  • ^Sir, how about trace carbs from whey protein? ok lang ba yun? kasi Im taking 4-5 scoops of whey, add mo na yung 1g of sugar from some artificial sweeteners sa sugar free preWO supps. So that would give me roughly 20g of trace carbs, di ba pwede yun?

    True to that, what matter most when losing weight is the daily and weekly caloric deficit.

    However, not all weightloss were fckin good! We do care about Fat loss not weightloss!

    Masyadong mabilis ang pagtabas ng taba bilang isang magbabakal is a no no!

    Well good info na rin kay zab and by that si yatez nag 100% english speaking mutha fakar na sya!
