Rebirth after KIdney donation

jue7mb.jpg Hi. im just new here in this forum.

I was operated this may 2013 to give my kidney to my mum. Ive been working out for about a year bago yung operation. Then nag stop na ko magbuhat from april to june. Nagbalik lang ako this august. Ngayon lang tlga ko nag try mag supplements kaya need ko ng tamang info. Too much info kasi sa net. Nakaka gulo lang. Hope to get all the info i need here.

Ill try to post yung before photos ko bagon yung operation. then yung picture ko after op na wala pang workout. then yung latest pic na nagstart ulit ako magbuhat mula aug.

  • Thanks man, 1 taon kasi nawala sakin, nag stop ako mag work ng 1 year para samahan mum ko mag dialysis 3x a week. Mostly madaling araw pa sched namin. Tapos binenta ko pa auto ko para pambili namin ng gamot. Kaya bawi naman ako sa sarili ko. :))

    Ano bang sabi ng doctor? Syemprr medyo nag iba na ung pang filter mo dahil previously 2 kidney mo.
  • Pwede pa naman daw ako sa whey protein kasi kaya naman daw talaga mabuhay ng tao ng 1 kidney. More water lang daw. Yun ung sabi ng urologist ko. pero yung nephro sabi niya wag daw para sure. So it means hindi alam ng nephro ko yung sagot. Kaya mas sumunod ako sa urologist ko na senior na din sa pag oopera. Im taking BCAA, CREA, AMINO and Whey. Ano ba magandang stack? 4x workout pg weekdays, Cardio pag weekends. Tnx masters

    Food and whey and crea the basics yun lang, bcaa and amino asa whey din naman yan para lang safe ka.

    Im no doctor pero im on the same boat with yates here. Just stick with the staples:

    Whey and creatine and add a multivit + if anong supp pwede for kidney support.

    Just drink lots and lots of water at nakaka dehydrate ang creatine.

  • salamat sa advices and welcome. Ask ko din, anong magandang crea? yung hindi nakka bloat. tubig kasi ako ng tubig. nabubusog ako agad bago mag dinner :(

  • Maraming members rito na nag da Dymatize Monohydrate Creatine bro, sabi ni sir Braso, mga ibang crea-brands pale in comparison, pero sakanya lang yun. Ito lang rin yung nagamit kong Creatine, hindi rin ako nag bloat. Trial and error lang yan at personal preference. Good luck!

  • ^no need to worry about having a "stack" bro. Hindi mo kelangan ng madaming supps. Whey & crea will do. Multi vits for everyday use is a plus tapos anything with caffeine preWO like the common energy drinks pwede na kung kelangan lang. Aminos, bcaas, preWO supps like jack3d etc. They wont do much for you at this point. glutamine is crap imo:)

    Actually don nalang ako sa amino tabs kesa sa glutamine kung di ka nakakakain ng different kinds of meats.

    Oo tama glutathione ka nalang puputi ka pa!

    just hit the gym today, and hingi lang ako suggestions sa mga masters pano mapa liit yung side obliques, kung hindi naman, yung magkaroon na palikpik. tagal ko nang gusto magkaroon nun e. hihihi. post ako ng pic ko after gym, para may motivation ako. before and after . Ill give it ten weeks after! :))

    Sakin depende sa calorie limits at sa protein requirements ko since nag bibilang ako ng macros every day, mas tipid tong ginagawa ko in a way.

    wag ka masyado mag rely sa whey. Plan your meals first tas fill in the gaps with whey.

    Pero after backreading the last page goal mo ata magka abs.

    Yep, hindi naman importante kung ilang beses ka mag whey sa isang araw.
    Halimbawa 1-2x a day ka nga lang mag whey pero protein naman na nakukuha mo sa karneng kinakaen mo araw2x e mataas na.
    Ako twice lang mag whey pero pumapalo ng 200g+ protein ko basta maayos kain ko.

    @monch wala ko plano mag ka abs bro, mukang mahirap talaga yun. papaliitin ko muna obliques ko. any suggestions?
  • Actually, ok lang naman yung "madami" na inom ng whey. dati umabot ako as high as 7 servings of whey EVERYDAY (noob pa kasi ako sa supps noon at bilib na bilib sa whey). wala naman nangyari sakin masama in terms of health. sa gains, hard to tell since whey is good as food kung tutuusin. So, kung question dito is ok lang ba madami inom ng whey FOR MAXIMUM MUSCLE GAINZZZ?? my answer is no. kasi overall, it's just protein. will 200g of protein from whey be better than 200g of protein from beef or fish? how about combination of both, 100g whey and 100g of beef/fish? will you be bigger than the other guy because you're taking 5 scoops versus him taking only 2 scoops per day? kung parehas naman 200g protein ang quota nyo daily :)

    for optimal muscle gainzzz, whey will help but it's not gonna make you any better from a person not drinking (or drinking less) whey kung parehas lang naman kayo na sufficient sa protein :)

    Exactly! Hell I don't even know tag, yet I know this is true and solid info sir V!

    Whey (or any other type of protein powder for that matter) only helps fill in the gap to help one to meet their protein needs for the day as opposed to eating tons of chicken everyday haha. Whey is NOT magic. As a matter of fact, I'd bet I could take anyone on the board, give them placebo powder instead of actual whey, and as long as their protein-food intake is solid, they would see NO difference whatsoever in terms of results. Btw, keep in mind whey is new relatively speaking - protein powders before mainly consisted of egg protein. Did I, or any other old schoolers see some magical change when whey was introduced in the mid-late 90's? Hell no haha. It's just what's in vogue, that's all. Food will ALWAYS be more important than whey or any other type of protein powder, mrp, mass gainer, etc. :)

    makisingit na din ako, question na din tungkol sa protein intake per day.

    Ako kasi sinusunod ko kasi yung nasa label ng ON GS (though PM7 ang gamit ko ngaun)

    "SUGGESTED USE: Consume approximately 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight per day through a combination of high protein foods and protein supplements. For the best results, consume your daily protein allotment over several small meals spread evenly throughout the day."

    ganito kasi ginagawa ko per day sa protein intake ko:
    (166lbs weight ko)

    2 scoops of PM7 (23g protein/scoop) = 46g
    5 pcs. hard boiled egg white only (3.5g protein/white) = 17.5
    total of 63.5g = yan lang alam ko icompute kasi hindi ko alam kung ilang grams nakukuha ko sa whole foods sa buong araw. dunno kung umaabot ba ako dun sa 166g of protein na quota ko.

    (BIG PROBLEM for me..)

    baka po pede patingin ng sample sa protein intake niyo per day? combinations of Whey+Food.hehehe. bago lang din ako sa liga at madami ako natututunan dito sa pbb!
