Food and Restaurant Thread

    Highlands Steakhouse MOA

Para sa akin, one of the best steakhouse ive ever dined in sa pinas.

Sobrang juicy nung mga steak nila (had 14oz angus rib eye and 10oz NY steak)

Sarap din nung carbonara nila. had to mix it up with my rice kase baka hindi ko maubos. nyahaha!

Yung chocolate cake lang nila, sobrang sweet (least for my taste)

had oysters for appetizer.. yum yum!

Ambiance was nice also. Kala mo fine dining pero current yung music nila.

All the staff was attentive and hospitable. lalo na yung manager nilang babae.

medyo pricy but worth the peso naman.

Ang guage ko din kung masarap yung steak is thru my daughters feedback... she loved it.. nuff said.

    6 stars!

Nasa 1k-1.5k yung buffet.

    ^viking 800 ata or 700

Shang Edsa, had the opportunity to eat there due to a client (na hindi ako binayaran sa professional work lol). The ambiance is great too

@Sir Monch: mga nasa 2k - 2500 siguro per head..

    yung steaks nila between 1400 - 2k, appetizers nasa 350 - 500, pasta 380 - 500, beverage nasa 120 - 200. desserts nila nasa 150 - 300.

It was the best week of my life!
Mejo pricey pero you're paying for an experience. May thai kitchen, Chinese kitchen, indian kitchen, Korean kitchen, Filipino kitchen, pastries, cheese and dried meats room, bakery, Japanese hot kitchen/cold kitchen, cold kitchen, French/western kitchen tapos may steak section pa. Every foodie should save up or trek to it kahit once. Interactive siya, may live cooking most kitchens at ala carte style ang datingan, made in front of you in controlled quantities most of the items. Kaso siyempre. Spiral rules hehehe.

spiral and circles! wala ba discount? haha
  • Wala pang lakas boss vinch e! hehe. pag nag LEVEL UP tayo up the ranks, intense training tapos post wo meal sa Spiral buffet hahaha!

had one of my best pwo meal last saturday at woodfire grill republic at metrowalk

had myself a giant taco and a monster cheeseburger! (without the veggies) apart from the juicy gigantor buger ive tried in salcedo a couple of months ago, this 10"burger tastes really well and grilled to perfection

my meal i think fetched for 900php but well worth each centavo

finally was able to try vikings buffet hype yesterday:
    Pros:
wide selection of cuisine (especially the japz selection)
    excellent desert choices
tons of beverage to choose from

    Cons:
steak / lamb has a limit, so had to ask all my family members to get their share for me (good thing the lechon was unlimited)
anticipating a sunday crowd, prawn tempura shouldve been monitored for fast refill
customer service was average, well didnt really feel the hospitality amongst any staff at all, especially from the reception na ang susungit nang istura, medyo sungit pa nang ugali.

Overall: 7/10 for me. will still consider dads over vikings.. Hey, im not like a TLC channel food/resto critic expert, its just my experience.. . So sue me!
  • monching11monching11 Posts: 7,273
Mala anthony bourdain ba sir? Hehehe

Nice and honest review on vikings sir. Dami ba tao pag sunday?
  • BraSoBraSo Posts: 785
^dami tao boss monch.. sa moa kami, i was told palagi dami tao sa lahat ng branch nila...

having worked / consulted for the hotel / hospitality industry (local and foreign) for over 15yrs, alam ko kung anu yung establishments na may magandang cust service from the first 30 secs palang. hehe

  • monching11monching11 Posts: 7,273
ma try ng ang vikings hehehe. Syempre sir well travelled ka na and you can easily compare the level of cust service.

    2. Sichuan - Panda Kitchenette: Dela Rosa corner South Superhighway sa likod ng Cityland. Specialty: Spicy Hotpot (anghang na di mo inakala)
    3. Hunan - You Jie Xiao Chao : Camia Street, Guadalupe. Near Rockwell. Specialty - Yung duck something nila.
    4. Taiwanese - Botan : Basement of Ayala East Condominium, Urban Avenue, Makati. Medyo me kamahalan but ok ang ambiance at siyempre ang pagkain.
