Whey protein on GOUT

Share ko lang po based on my experience, masakit sya.. sabi ni doc, idiopathic gout daw. which is namana ko sa tatay ko. =(

ON Gold Standard whey gamit ko noon
after a few drinks, parang wala lang. then after a 2-3 days nagsimula na mamaga paa ko at kung gaano sya kasakit let's say, gusto mo nang lagariin paa mo.. napakasakit talaga. with proper medication 3-5 days wala na sya.

during a "gout attack", masakit din umuhi, yun pala sabi ni doc sa sobrang dami daw ng uric crystals kusa na syang nalalabas and delikado masugatan yung pinagdadaanan ng ihi at sa KIDNEY.

may na-Experience na po ba kayong ganito?

so far, nag tatake ako ng TRUE MASS at ok naman.

    I have gout and I eat lots of protein.

    first pare gout is largely misunderstood. There is correlation with high uric acid but not necessarily causation. The treatment will be the same regardless, so the why is not that important in the absence of other symptoms.

    idiopathic means hindi niya alam kung bakit (the treatment is the same regardless). If you have a family history of gout like sa tatay mo, in the absence of any correlating factors, doon nalang siya lumagay sa "namana kay tatay" correlation, it just means the doc is uncertain.

    In my experience what triggers gout is change in carb consumption and sugars. Like when you go from on a low carb diet and do a high carb cheat day, if you are genetically predisposed to gout, then this will trigger an attack. High sugar consumption is also related to gout attack, so cut those down.

    anyway, kapag nararamdam ko na magkakaroon ng trigger, inum na ako ng naproxen at allopurinol para hindi magtuloy-tuloy. It works naman.

    I get gout when I snack on a whole pack of happy peanuts lol

    I doubt its the whey but I cannot know for certain. If I were you I would first cut down on sugars and see what happens. Look at your carbs and see what it looks like. Then kung nagkakaroon ka padin ng attacks, well...bye bye protein shakes hehe

    Wow, I'm impressed sa post ni Popoy.
    Mas naging malinaw na sakin yang gout na yan.
    So hindi pala sa lahat ng case bawal ang high protein diet.
    Kasi if yes, kawawa yung mga bodybuilders na may gout.

    sorry for super late reply... @popoy, maraming salamat bigtime sa link! :) baka may alam kayong brands or klase ng protein shakes na friendly sa mga may gout or mabilis tumaas ang uric acid? maraming salamat po
