Hi there, Protein shakes can cause urinary irritation but by the looks of it 20-25 pus cells or wbc seems somewhat to be UTI. In that case, drinking excessive energy drinks particularly caffeinated drinks can cause urinary/bladder infection and sometimes kidney stones. If your urinalysis showed protein in your urine (proteinuria), then stop taking protein shakes; however if there's none, you can continue with your protein shakes. In regards to energy drinks, I would recommend you to stop consuming it for atleast 6-8 weeks and instead drink plenty of water. Hope this helps.
Yes the doctor said UTI, but confused talaga ako kasi wala ako nararamdaman na sakit sa pag ihi, or anything sumasakit sa likuran ko. Kahapon kasi uminom ako ng extra joss kasi nag gym ako before magpa medical test. Naging yellow yung ihi ko noon, at somehow baka yun yung naka trigger.

Sabi ni doc, UTI daw. Anti biotic for 1 week, stop muna drink ng supplements. Then urinalysis again after medication. Sana maging okay.

May nakalagay sa result sa "Albumin: Traced" , pero sugar negative. Diba albumin protein yun? Nakakabahala 20-25 kasi pus cells, sa blood test ko naman mataas white blood cells ko, normal level 4.0-5.0, 8.2 yung result, the rest normal naman.
Suppliments like whey or from whole foods, protein is still protein, better ask a nephro bout that, better to be sure... If may puss there is also a possibility of STDs..
One week course of antibiotics lng yan, usually Bactrim/Azithromycin/Cipro/Doxy ang pnprescribe, it should clear after a few days however you need a week's treatment and then after nun pa repeat urinalysis ka. If it's all clear ill wait atleast 6-8 weeks just to cleanse the system and drink caffeine in moderation especially energy drinks cause they're very high in caffeine content.
A healthy kidney should not pass albumin(protein) in the urine of greater amounts. Meron sya trace cause its slightly higher than the normal value, if there's too much protein it's usually marked by + or by concentration (mg/dl) which is considered as proteinuria.
Your body can only handle so much so my advice is to stop taking protein shakes and high protein sources for 3-4 weeks, take antibiotics to clear the UTi for a week, repat urinalysis for a week, if the infection is clear then that's good but take note of the protein which would either show a trace or negative, wait for 4 weeks have another urinalysis done and if the protein is clear, slowly build up your protein intake, then by your 6-8th week you can take caffeine in moderation, however, if you can avoid taking energy drinks please do.
Everything will go back to normal as long as long as you cut back what you are taking, i had 4 sessions of dialysis earlier this year cause but accute pancreatitis, my kidneys got affected, i did however cut back on the protein, when my creatinine went back to normal, i resumed my normal diet...

You're lucky cause it was acute and not chronic, usually main causes are gall stones (in our country) or alcohol. And yes, it can affect the kidney (treated with dialysis), respiratory system, or heart. Generally high blood creatinine suggests kidney problem, just be careful with your creatine intake. Most people become more health conscious after a health scare.

Im ok now, it was the alcohol last xmas season,,plus i was in korea for two weeks, almost every night ang soju...good thing i came home just in time....kaka test ko lang uli, everything is normal....i was health conscious before except for the alcohol, now i removed it completely...
Iwas muna ako sa protein shakes at energy drinks. Pero yung amino tabs ko yun muna itatake ko as pre workout. Thanks guys sa suggestions, well well well bawas bawas muna ako sa kape.
Sir troll ginawa ko yung drop test sa arms para sa rotator cuff tear, hindi naman sumasakit or biglang nalalaglag arms ko, may nakita kasi akong video sa youtube na different tests about shoulder pains.
